How much does a Telegram bot cost in 2026?
Telegram bot development prices in 2026 by type: lead bot, shop bot, systems with payments, roles and CRM. A price table, timelines, hidden costs and 7 factors that drive the estimate.
Published: Updated: By the B2B-Lab team
Asking "how much does a Telegram bot cost" is like asking "how much does a house cost": a shed and a fully serviced family home are both "houses". A bot that collects a three-field request and a bot where a customer places an order, pays, gets status updates while a manager sees everything in the CRM differ in effort by a factor of 5–10. Below are reference prices by bot type, what makes up the estimate, and how to avoid overpaying.
All figures in this article are guidelines based on our own projects. We quote the exact cost only after working out the specification: too much depends on the user flows and integrations.
Telegram bot development cost: reference table
We divide bots into four classes. The line isn't drawn by the number of buttons, but by whether the bot has its own database, roles, money and external systems.
| Bot type | What it does | Price (reference) | Timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lead / business card bot | Menu, FAQ, request form, notification to a manager in a chat | from 60,000 ₽ | from 1 day |
| Catalog / booking bot | Catalog or schedule from a database, cart, slot booking, simple admin panel | from 120,000 ₽ | from 1–2 weeks |
| Bot with payments and CRM | Online payment, order statuses, segmented broadcasts, integration with amoCRM, Bitrix24 or 1C | from 250,000 ₽ | from 3–5 weeks |
| Multi-level system | Roles (customer, contractor, manager, admin), bot + Mini App, analytics, monitoring | from 400,000 ₽ | from 6–8 weeks |
The entry threshold of 60,000 ₽ buys a working bot with a button-based interface, not a template from a bot builder. The full list of services with prices is on the development pricing page, and details on what the work includes are on the Telegram bot development page.
What drives the cost of a bot: 7 factors
When a client asks how much it costs to build a Telegram bot, we answer with questions of our own. Here are the seven factors that move the estimate the most, in descending order of impact.
- Integrations. Every external system — CRM, 1C, inventory management, a delivery service, IP telephony — adds anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks. The worst are systems without a proper API: there we have to build the exchange through files or an intermediate database.
- Payments. Accepting money means handling receipts, refunds, failed payments and reconciliation with your accounting. Digital goods inside Telegram are sold for Telegram Stars; physical goods go through payment providers such as YooKassa.
- Roles and permissions. A customer-only bot is one branch of logic. Customer, courier, manager and owner are four branches, each with its own screens and notifications.
- Flow complexity. A linear questionnaire and a dialog with branching, going back and saving drafts are very different amounts of work. We draw a state map before development starts, and that map becomes the basis of the estimate.
- Admin panel. Editing the catalog through Google Sheets is cheap; a full web admin panel with filters, exports and an audit log is a separate module.
- Load and reliability. A bot for 200 salon clients and a bot broadcasting to 300,000 subscribers need different architectures: queues, respecting Telegram API rate limits, horizontal scaling.
- AI features. Answers from a knowledge base, voice message recognition, request classification. This is a separate layer with model costs and answer quality control.
What's included in the price and what's billed separately
Comparing contractor proposals is pointless until you know what they include. Check whether the estimate covers the following items.
- Design: a flow map, a role model, message copy. Without this stage the developer "fills in" the logic for you.
- Bot and backend development: database, dialog state storage, error handling.
- Admin panel and statistics: who's writing, where users drop off, how many requests came in.
- Deployment on your servers or in your cloud, with webhook, monitoring and alert setup.
- Handover: source code, access credentials, documentation. The bot and its token must belong to you, not the contractor.
- Warranty period — usually bug fixes for several weeks after launch.
Billed separately as a rule: hosting (for a typical bot, from a few hundred to a few thousand rubles a month), payment provider fees, AI model costs if they are used, and post-launch development — new features and flows.
The danger of a bot that's too cheap
"Bot for 10,000 ₽" offers exist, and sometimes they're honest — if we're talking about a template without a database. The problems usually surface after launch:
- The bot is registered to the contractor's account, and if you switch contractors you lose your subscribers.
- Dialog state is kept in process memory: after a server restart, customers "fall out" in the middle of checkout.
- No logs or monitoring: you learn the bot is down from unhappy customers.
- Undocumented code that another developer would rather rewrite than extend.
The savings at the start often turn into paying twice six months later, when the bot has to be rebuilt from scratch.
How much it costs to build a Telegram bot: three examples
Booking bot for a studio — 60,000 to 120,000 ₽
The client picks a service, a specialist and a free slot, and gets a reminder a day and two hours before. The administrator sees bookings and can reschedule them. If the schedule already lives in a third-party booking service with an API, an integration is added and the budget moves toward the upper bound.
Shop bot with delivery — from 250,000 ₽
A catalog of 300–2,000 items, a cart, card payment, "received — being packed — on the way" statuses, courier notifications, and order export to the accounting system. At this point it's worth considering a Mini App: a catalog with photos and filters is easier to browse in a web interface than through buttons. More on the difference in what is a Telegram Mini App.
Multi-level system for a chain — from 400,000 ₽
An example from our practice is the Telegram bot and Mini App for a coffee shop chain: separate interfaces for guests, baristas and managers, a menu and payment in the Mini App, and a loyalty card. A system like this connects dozens of locations and lives on as a product rather than a one-off build.
Bot builder or custom development
Bot builders cost anywhere from nothing to a few thousand rubles a month and are good for testing a hypothesis: set up a funnel and see whether customers write at all. The problems start when the business grows.
| Criterion | Bot builder | Custom development |
|---|---|---|
| Start | Hours, no programmer needed | From 1 day |
| Integrations | Only ready-made connectors | Any system, with or without an API |
| Customer data | On the service's servers | In your database, on your servers |
| Complex logic and roles | Quickly hits limitations | No limitations |
| Payments | Monthly subscription grows with your audience | One-time development + hosting |
Rule of thumb: if the bot will become a sales channel with payments and personal data, plan for custom development from the start. Moving off a bot builder almost always means writing the bot from scratch and migrating subscribers.
Timelines: why a bot can launch in a day
A simple lead bot with ready copy launches in as little as 1 day. That's possible because we have a proven base architecture — webhook, state storage, notifications, logs — and don't rewrite it every time. Beyond that, timelines grow with scope: a catalog with an admin panel takes 1–2 weeks, payments and CRM from 3 weeks, a multi-level system from 6–8 weeks.
The main source of delays isn't code, it's approvals: copy, CRM access, the contract with the payment provider. Setting up acquiring with a bank or provider can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks, so start it in parallel with development.
How to cut costs without sacrificing quality
- Launch the first version with one key flow, and add broadcasts, loyalty and analytics in a second phase — once you see how real users behave.
- Prepare the copy, catalog and FAQ yourself: it saves days of work and reduces the number of revisions.
- Use your existing systems: if orders are already tracked in a CRM, the bot should write there rather than duplicate records in its own database.
- Don't order a complex admin panel while a spreadsheet or the CRM is enough.
- Sort out payments in advance: the provider, the legal entity, fiscal receipts.
Most importantly, choose a contractor by the questions they ask, not by the lowest price. There's a checklist in how to choose a development contractor.
Bottom line: how to get an exact price
For reference, a simple bot costs from 60,000 ₽, a bot with payments and CRM from 250,000 ₽, and a multi-level system with a Mini App from 400,000 ₽. To go from a range to a specific figure, you need to describe the roles, flows, integrations and data volume. The fastest way is our cost estimate questionnaire: a preliminary estimate appears right away, and after a review with a developer you'll get an estimate broken down by module.
Questions and answers
How much does a Telegram bot cost in 2026?
For reference, a simple lead bot costs from 60,000 ₽, a catalog bot with an admin panel from 120,000 ₽, and a bot with online payments and CRM integration from 250,000 ₽. The exact cost is determined after the specification is worked out.
How long does Telegram bot development take?
A simple bot can launch in as little as 1 day, a bot with a catalog and admin panel in 1–2 weeks, and a bot with payments and CRM in 3–5 weeks or more. Multi-level systems with roles and a Mini App take from 6–8 weeks.
What does the cost of a bot depend on?
Price is driven most by integrations with external systems, payment acceptance, the number of roles and flow complexity. The admin panel, expected load and AI features also matter.
What are the monthly costs of a Telegram bot after launch?
Usually hosting at a few hundred to a few thousand rubles a month, payment provider fees, and AI model costs if they are used. Further development and support are billed separately by agreement.
Which is better value: a bot builder or custom development?
A bot builder is fine for quickly testing an idea without integrations. If the bot accepts payments or works with personal data or a CRM, it pays to order custom development from the start so you don't have to rewrite the bot as you grow.
